Emergency Call Outs
When a tree comes down, we answer the phone
Storms don't keep office hours. A tree across the drive at midnight, a limb hanging over the road on a Sunday, a trunk resting on the roof after a gale – these can't wait until Monday. Our emergency line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it's answered by someone who can actually help.
Our first job is to make things safe. That might mean cutting a fallen tree off a car or a fence, removing a cracked limb before it falls, or clearing a road or access so people can get in and out. We'll then advise on what needs doing next and give you a price for the full clear-up.
If you're claiming on your insurance, we'll provide the written report, photos and itemised invoice your insurer will ask for. We've done it many times and we know what they need to see.

Clear and report
We clear the debris, tidy up and, if you need it, send a report and photos for your insurer.
Doing it properly
Safety, permissions and waste
Storm-damaged trees are unpredictable. Trunks under tension can spring, root plates can roll back and hanging limbs can drop without warning. Our climbers are trained for exactly this – windblown and damaged-tree techniques are part of NPTC certification – and we never send one person alone.
If a protected tree is dead, dangerous or has fallen, you're allowed to make it safe without waiting for consent, but you must give the council five working days' notice where possible and you may have to replace the tree. We'll handle that notice for you. As with all our work, the timber and brash are chipped or logged and recycled.
FAQs
Emergency call-out questions
Can't find what you need? Give us a call – we're happy to talk it through.
Call-out pricing depends on the time of day, the distance and what it takes to make things safe. We'll always tell you the cost before we set off, so there are no surprises.
It depends where you are and what else is happening – after a big storm we prioritise by risk. We'll give you a straight answer on the phone rather than a promise we can't keep.
Most buildings policies cover damage caused by a falling tree and the cost of removing it from a building, but not always removal from open garden. Check your policy or ask your insurer. We'll provide the report and photos they need.
In most cases it's the tree owner's responsibility to deal with the tree, but you may need to arrange the removal from your side and claim the cost back. We can work with both parties and provide paperwork for each.
Stay well away and don't touch the tree, fences or anything in contact with it. Call the network operator on 105 first. Once the line is made safe, we can deal with the tree.
Yes. If a tree is leaning, cracked or has a hanging limb, call us. Dealing with it before it falls is safer and usually cheaper than clearing up afterwards.
